A passenger was arrested at a New York airport after attempting to smuggle cocaine worth more than £77,000 in a Bailey’s bottle.

Stefisha Miller travelled from Kingston, Jamaica, to John F Kennedy International Airport in America with two bottles of Bailey’s apparently bought from Duty Free before her flight.

Customs and Borders Protection Officers probed the box containing the bottles and found a bag of white powder stashed inside one of them.

The bag was found to contain 6lbs of cocaine with a street value of around £77,390 (110,000 US Dollars), officials said.

Miller was arrested on suspicion of importing a controlled substance and is being held by Homeland Security Investigations.

She faces charges of smuggling illegal narcotics.

Francis J Russo, Acting Director of CBP’s New York Field Operations said: “The smuggling of illicit drugs poses a significant threat to our nation, and CBP does its part in keeping these drugs off our streets.

“As America’s unified border security agency, our employees are determined to protect the public from these substances.”
