Woman charged after three-year-old Dexter Neal killed in Essex dog attack

A woman has been charged following the death of a three-year-old boy who was killed in a dog attack in Essex.

Dexter Neal was attacked by an American bulldog in Halstead on August 18 last year.

Police in Essex have now charged Jade Dunne, 29, of Parker Way in Halstead, with owning a dog dangerously out of control resulting in death.

The dog, which was called Ruby, has since been destroyed.

Dunne has been released on bail. She will next appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 27.
