A woman has claimed she was raped at a cemetery in east London in the early hours of Sunday.

The victim, who police said is aged in her 30s, was allegedly attacked at Abney Park cemetery in Stoke Newington.

She was today being supported by specially trained Metropolitan Police officers, a spokesman for Scotland Yard said.

No arrests have been made, he added.

The cemetery, which was established in 1840, is one of the 'magnificent seven' cemeteries in the capital.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
