A woman has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Hackney.

Paramedics and police were called to Mare Street just after 5pm on Tuesday to reports of a woman suffering with a stab injury.

She has been taken to an east London hospital but it is not yet clear how serious the injuries are.

Police are making enquiries into the stabbing.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told the Standard that there have been no arrests.
