A41 crash: Patient seriously injured after ambulance crash

A patient being transported by ambulance was left with serious injuries after it crashed with two coaches and a car on a busy north London road.

The private ambulance was caught in a collision with two coaches and a Nissan Micra car on the A41 in Edgware on Monday afternoon.

The four drivers and all the coach passengers escaped unharmed but the patient, a man in his 30s, suffered a serious arm injury, police said.

He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 4.45pm close to the junction with Broadfields Avenue.
