Chrismas Day horror car collision leaves woman with life-threatening injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was left with life-threatening injuries in a car collision in Sutton, in London in the early hours of Christmas Day.

A car was involved in a road traffic collision in Beeches Avenue, Carshalton at approximately 00:40hrs on Saturday December 25.

London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene.

Two women, both in their 20s, were taken to hospital for treatment after the car they were in had left the road and collided with a tree.

In hospital, one woman remains in a critical condition.

The other woman’s injuries are not life threatening.

Four other people – who were all occupants of the car – received treatment.

None of their injuries are serious.

Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
