The shops and restaurants of Covent Garden are to host an adults-only pantomime with a twist this Christmas.

Interactive theatre company Look Left Look Right have devised a show that will take participants on a tour of familiar landmarks, as well as some lesser-known spots.

Pairs of audience members will be despatched at seven-minute intervals on a mission to help Elf and his friends rescue Christmas by reuniting Cinderella and Prince Charming, who have had a tiff.

Director Mimi Poskitt said: “We’ve unearthed a cigar shop from the 1800s which is like going back in time, and very beautiful hidden corners of London in the streets around Covent Garden.”

Once Upon a Christmas runs from November 18 to December 22, with a capacity of 40 a night. Go to coventgardenlondonuk.com
