Feltham shooting: Armed police called after teenager shot in back

A teenager was today in hospital after being shot in the back in west London last night.

Armed police swooped on a housing estate in Feltham after the man was shot at about 9.15pm.

The male, believed to be in his late teens, was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a stable condition after the incident in Southern Avenue.

A Met Police spokesman said the Trident and Gang Crime Command is investigating. There have been no arrests.

The area around the Yellow Brick estate was cordoned off and residents were advised to stay inside while police investigated the incident.

Residents took to social media to express their concern about the incident.

Enquiries into the shooting are continuing.
