Found: blind man, 93, who went missing from his north London home

A 93-year-old blind man who suffers from dementia has been found after going missing from his home in north London.

David Lewin had not been seen since 4pm yesterday at his house in Chamberlayne Road, Willesden.

Police said they believed Mr Lewin, who walks with the aid of a walking stick, may have got on a train at Mill Hill Broadway Station.

Officers made extensive searches in the surrounding area for the pensioner.

Scotland Yard confirmed he had been found in Barnet at about 11.30am this morning.

His family were said to have been increasingly concerned for his welfare in a police appeal.
