Fatal crash: A man, in his mid-50s, had died in Hounslow

A man has died after a van crashed with a lamppost in west London.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to The Parkway, in Hounslow, just before 2pm on Monday to reports of a crash.
The driver of the van, a man in his mid-50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Next of kin are yet to be informed.
“Road closures remain in place.
“Enquiries continue.”
