Winter may be some way off yet, but preparations have already begun in the capital to celebrate the season.

A team of 20 sculptors have started to create an ice palace for the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland spectacular at Christmas.

Winter Wonderland runs from November to January and attractions include the UK’s largest outdoor ice rink.
