A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car in west London.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the 33-year-old man was hit by a black Toyota Yaris in Feltham at around 7.10am on Thursday morning.

The victim is in a critical but stable condition in an east London hospital.

The driver of the car, a 40-year-old man, stopped at the scene opposite The Airman pub in Hanworth Road and was arrested.

He has since been bailed until a date in June pending further enquiries, police said.
