Marylebone fire: Eight people evacuated after blaze at flat

Eight people were evacuated from their homes after a fire broke out at an apartment block in London on Friday morning.

London Fire Brigade was called at 11.06am to reports of a fire at Cambridge Court in Marylebone.

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to the flat fire and discovered part of a three-roomed flat on the first floor on fire.

Eight people were evacuated by crews wearing breathing apparatus while one woman was treated on scene by ambulance crews.

The incident was over by 11.56am. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
