A cyclist was left fighting for his life after being injured in a collision with a car in south London.
The male driver of a Volkswagen Polo was arrested following the crash in New Cross Gate last night.
The middle-aged cyclist remains in a critical condition in hospital, while the motorist was taken into custody on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Witnesses described seeing the cyclist “gushing blood” as he lay in the road outside New Cross Gate station.
