One-bed flat in 'converted shed' in Hackney advertised for £1,083 a month

'Studio': The flat on Brooke Road boasts a private entrance

This pokey "studio" flat in Clapton will set you back more than £1,000 a month.

"Securely-gated" and fully furnished, the property on Brooke Road is described as a "self contained studio flat in stand alone unit".

It boasts one bedroom, wood flooring and bills are included - for a total monthly rental price of £1,083.

A listing on property website Rightmove indicates - apparently mistakenly - that the flat has more than one private entrance.

Has the London property market gone mad?

"This studio has a modern fully fitted eat in kitchen, large open plan/living area, fully tiled bathroom, private entrance, Secure gated complex, off street parking and a private entrance [sic]," it reads.

The ad ends with the disclaimer that the listing is "intended only as a guide" and encourages would-be tenants to view the property for themselves.
