Shaun of the bread ... Simon Pegg’s TV firm sold for £12.5 m

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are set for six figure windfalls after the production company that made their movies Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End, was sold for at least £12.5 million.

The actors are shareholders in Big Talk Productions — also behind the TV comedy series Rev, Him & Her and Friday Night Dinner as well as Sky’s mini series, A Young Doctor’s Notebook, with Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm.

The Fitzrovia-based company is one of London’s fastest growing independent TV and film production houses with turnover doubling last year.

If it continues to grow, ITV will make further payments to shareholders over the next five years that could total £30 million.
