A florist to royalty and celebrities is among six new businesses that have been signed up to open at Battersea Power Station later this year.
Royal Warrant holder Moyses Stevens, which created bouquets for the Queen’s bridesmaids at her wedding, and whose customers include the Duchess of Cambridge, Beyoncé and Claudia Schiffer, will open a flower shop and floristry school at the £9 billion development.
Other businesses to have agreed deals with the former generator’s developers include independent picture house Archlight Cinema, a sister venue to the Olympic Studios in Barnes. It will have three screens in former railway arches near the Grade II* brick building.
The other four are bakery and cafe Baker and Spice, microbrewery Battersea Brewery, Indian restaurant Cinnamon Kitchen and Japanese noodle restaurant Tonkotsu.
They will bring to 20 the total number of outlets in the first phase of the development, Circus West Village, which are open or due to launch this year.
They include an outlet of celebrity hairdresser Paul Edmonds. The new recruits were announced to mark the first anniversary of the opening of the riverwalk in front of the power station.
