The next station is now Pestminster: Activists change name of Westminster Tube station to highlight Parliament sexual harassment scandal

Political: the adapted Westminster station sign

Activists turned Westminster into “Pestminster” today to highlight a perceived lack of action over Parliament’s sexual harassment scandal.

Women’s Equality Party members switched the signs on the Underground, streets and maps across the borough.

The scale of sexual harassment in Westminster was revealed a year ago today when a WhatsApp group of Parliamentary staffers listing 14 MPs “to avoid” was made public.

Alexia Pepper de Caires, of WEP, tweeted: "One year on and still on MPs have lost their job... not good enough.

She added that members of WEP "demand answers" over the scandal.

Rebecca Manson Jones wrote: "One year on still not one MP has lost their job. Palace of #pestminster."
