Try before you buy opera in Holland Park

18 June 2012

Opera Holland Park is offering hundreds of Londoners the chance to “try before you buy” at performances this summer.

Five hundred free tickets are available to encourage both opera novices and the more experienced to try a new repertoire.

If they enjoy the experience, they are encouraged to make a donation to the company’s Inspire scheme which aims to encourage more members of the public to attend.

The opera challenge initiative is for three performances of a double bill of two operas, Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi with Alan Opie, and this year’s rarity, Mascagni’s one-act work, Zanetto, with soprano Janice Watson.

Call the box office on 0300 9991000 and quote “opera challenge”. Up to two tickets per person are available. Further details: operahollandpark.com
