Fire crews have battled a warehouse blaze at a business park which sent smoke billowing across north-east London.

The fire broke out at 11.43am at a bedding and packaging warehouse in Walthamstow.

The site, just off Blackhorse Lane, is near a school and college.

Around 35 firefighters and six engines were sent out to the business park, where part of the single storey building was alight.

A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said the incident was under control at 1.13pm and one person needed to be treated for smoke inhalation.
