After reading in the Standard that the Foreign Office has failed to produce crucial files pertaining to CIA rendition flights due to “water damage”, one Londoner offers her services. “I’ll restore them for free,” says Georgine Thorburn, of Documents SOS, who wants to help the people of Diego Garcia, from where the flights allegedly took off. Her Pimlico-based firm saves fire- and water-damaged paper. “We’ve restored documents that have been buried in the North Sea for three years. I challenge the FO to produce their “water-damaged” ones. I doubt they will.” Mandarins, over to you.
