Even a last-minute Amazon email campaign can’t stop sales of Pippa Middleton’s Celebrate from falling. Only 2,288 people bought her party planning book in its third week on sale (the first week she sold 2,189 copies and the second 2,747).

To convince the public it is missing out on Pippa’s party-planning insights, Amazon is now recommending the book to anyone who browses its Food and Drink section.

But the title is today down to 219 on its bestseller list.

Publishing bible the Bookseller says there might still be hope for Pippa and her publisher Penguin, which paid her a £400,000 advance. “Sales often tend to fall slightly at this point in November,” a spokesman says.

“They should pick up in the run-up to Christmas. If they’re still falling this time next month, that’s when Pippa should really worry.”
