Dolly Parton dreams of a duet with the Boss

The Queen of Country and the Boss? Now there’s a double act. “Oh, I love him, we’d be good together, wouldn’t we?” Dolly Parton says about Bruce Springsteen. “That would be a good pairing. I’ve always felt a kinship with him.”

Dolly is headlining this year’s Glastonbury, for which she promised in an interview in last weekend’s Mail on Sunday’s Event magazine to wear heels not wellies. Springsteen himself played Glasto in 2009.

But what could Dolly and Springsteen sing together?

The Londoner is hoping for a mash-up of Islands in the Stream and The River, since Springsteen’s Fire might be dangerous. “I was the first woman to burn my bra,” Parton has said. “It took the fire department four days to put it out.”
