Lord Rennard defended by Lib-Dem peer

Earlier this week Lib-Dem peer Lord Greaves defended Lord Rennard on an internal party messaging board, saying such advances were run-of-the-mill.

“In passing, I would note and guess that if the allegations as made are a matter for resignation, perhaps around a half of the male members of the Lords over 50 would probably not be seen again,” he wrote.

That would be one quick, easy way for Lib-Dem leader Nick Clegg to get the reform of the Upper House he so desperately wants.
