Jade Parfitt’s wardrobe may be the envy of many fashion fans but it seems she has a little help at home. The model joined Serena Linley, Dylan Jones and tailor Patrick Grant at US fashion brand J Crew’s concept store to celebrate its partnership with Central Saint Martins College, sporting an ensemble which had received prior approval.
“My son, who’s six, knows what he likes and he really likes dressing up. He’s got his own ideas and he’s very good at advising me,” she explained.
“When I’m getting ready to go out I’ll say ‘what about this?’ and he’ll just go ‘no mother.’
“All he wants to be at the moment is a chef or a scientist but if he wanted to go into fashion that’s fine.”
