Words of wisdom from Jonathan Aitken and co for Chris Huhne and Vicky Pryce

Plenty of advice for Chris Huhne and Vicky Pryce at Annabel’s last night when Jonathan Aitken hosted a Q & A session with two friends from Belmarsh prison, “Razor” Smith and Leroy Skeete, to launch Banham Concierge, a security advice service.

Another former guest of Her Majesty, Lord Taylor of Warwick, convicted of fiddling parliamentary expenses, was also on hand to explain how to cope.

“Vicky will have a tougher time in Holloway than Chris will in Wandsworth,” said Lord Taylor. “Although Wandsworth is one of the toughest prisons in Britain, Holloway has a lot of hysterical women into self-harm. Vicky had too many suitcases with her. They’ll take them away for a start.”

Smith said he respected a Banham lock when he was doing a burglary. “If you see a Banham lock it’s better to walk away,” he told guests, who included Aitken’s wife Elizabeth, daughter Victoria and son William.
