A film about Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was mocked this morning by social media users including MPs from his own party.

The 30 minute behind the scenes look of the inner workings of the leader’s team left Twitter users claiming it was “depressing” and made Mr Corbyn look “weak”.

As reaction to the film spread Labour MP John Spellar wrote: “Jeremy the Movie now on General Release - but what is it’s British Board Film Classification?”

Meanwhile Wes Streeting, who has been critical of Mr Corbyn, retweeted a link to the film saying simply: “Worth 30 minutes of your time”.

The documentary by Vice News showed Mr Corbyn claiming the BBC was “obsessed with trying to damage” his leadership and attacking other journalists.

It also shows the leader’s communications director Seumas Milne suggesting there is a mole in the leader’s inner circle, while another aide says Mr Corbyn should be allowed to “fail on his own”.

At one point in a meeting Corbyn asks who “wants to be Prime Minister” and an aide replies: “You do, I think.”

Twitter user Charlie Phillips wrote: “The Corbyn film is depressing for those of us who were/are broadly supportive of him. Comes across as far too fragile for power.”
