WhatsApp has gone down across the world with millions of users unable to use the messaging app.
Londoners and people from all over the globe have reported not being able to use the hugely popular app.
The app went offline at around 9pm with thousands quickly taking to social media to discuss the outage.
It was unclear what had caused the problems on Wednesday evening or when WhatsApp would be back up and running.
Website DownDetector listed thousands of reports of WhatsApp being down, with 50 per cent related to connectivity issues.
Many posted memes and jokes on Twitter about how the world would be coping with the loss of the app.
WhatsApp previously crashed on New Year's Eve, leaving millions of users unable to send or receive messages.
The problems were reported shortly before 4.30pm and affected people across the world, but were fixed shortly after 5pm.
According to website DownDetector, most of the problems were caused by connection issues followed by sending messages and logging into the service.
WhatsApp, which was bought by Facebook in 2014 for almost $20 billion, is estimated ot have over one billion users worldwide.
