Virgin Trains has said all pregnant women will get a seat on its services.

Expectant mothers can obtain a special pass to show to staff if a train has standing room only.

If no seat can be made available in standard class, women will be given one in first class.

The scheme will operate on Virgin’s West Coast Main Line services which run between London, North Wales, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
