Easter delays on busy rail lines beckon for London

20 March 2013

Services at two of London’s busiest rail companies — First Capital Connect and Southeastern — will be severely disrupted over the Easter holiday.

Over the four days from Good Friday until Easter Monday, many services will be cancelled, changed or be replaced by buses as National Rail carries out engineering work. South-East London will be particularly hard hit with New Cross, St Johns and Lewisham stations closed.

There will be no First Capital Connect trains between St Pancras International and London Bridge.

On the Tube, sections of the Jubilee, Metropolitan and Northern lines will be closed during all or part of the holiday.
