Eurostar trains have been delayed between London and the continent this morning after thieves stole electric cables from the highspeed railway line in northern France.
All trains have been delayed by around 45 minutes since the early hours of this morning, after vandals struck in France overnight.
Passengers arrived at St Pancras station this morning to find that departure times, including on busy routes to Paris and Brussels, had been pushed back.
On Twitter Catarina Tully said: "Overnight cable theft means 30-40min delays on @eurostar... some sleepy and upset people here. Hope all gets sorted soon."
And Kevin Peel tweeted: "Was looking forward to taking @Eurostar to Bxl. Then remembered why I fly: "Due to cable theft all trains are delayed until further notice."

Eurostar has tweeted customers, apologising for the delay, saying: "we're currently estimating delays of around 45 minutes to all trains. Sorry for the inconvenience."
