London Underground and RSPB launch 150 Homes for Nature

9 January 2014

School children from east London have created a 'home for nature' with London Underground and the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).

On 18 December they planted 150 trees, shrubs and wild flowers to create a wildlife area by Newbury Park Tube station on the Central line.

The planting launched ‘150 Homes for Nature’ - an environmental project to create 150 homes for nature across the Tube network as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations. The project is part of LU’s commitment to making London a greener and better place to live.

Visit the TfL webpage for more details about the project and the homes that will be created.
