Dalai Lama set to give talk to revellers at Glastonbury Festival 2015

Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama will give a talk to revellers at this summer's Glastonbury Festival, according to reports.

The 79-year-old's website announced he would be attending the event in Somerset, although the entry was later removed from his online schedule.

The festival line-up is not expected to be confirmed until April, as organisers are usually keen to keep the full list of names under wraps.

The message to website visitors, listing his engagement for June 28, said: "His Holiness will give a talk at the Glastonbury Festival in the morning."

A message about him appearing at Kempton Park racetrack the following day to give a talk about "Buddhism in the 21st Century" remains on the site.

The Dalai Lama has lived in exile in Dharamsala, northern India, after fleeing Tibet in 1959 because of upheaval in his homeland.

In 2012, he shared a stage with Russell Brand as the comedian compered a question and answer session in Manchester.
