The Evening Standard was named Website of the Year at the prestigious Drum Online Media Awards last night.

Standard.co.uk was also named National News Site of the Year and joint winner for the Best Lifestyle/Leisure News Site, while our AIDSfree appeal was hailed as Editorial Campaign of the Year.

Our four awards, which saw us beat competitors including the Guardian, Sky News, CNN, i and HuffPost UK, seal a year of outstanding success and growth for the Standard’s website which now regularly reaches 100 million page views per month.

The Standard’s digital editor-in-chief David Tomchak said: “To win three awards and then to be named overall Website of the Year is a phenomenal achievement and testament to the hard work of the Evening Standard’s journalists and the quality of our journalism.

"Standard.co.uk continues to go from strength to strength and I am so proud of our online team.”

The Standard’s AIDSfree campaign raised more than £3 million to support the work of the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the global fight against HIV.
