The Duchess of Cambridge went from hiking chic to evening glamour as she continued her tour of the Kingdom of Bhutan with the Duke.

Kate looked elegant in a full-length red chiffon gown featuring a poppy pattern - a nod to the Himalayan blue poppy which is Bhutan's national symbol - as she greeted guests at an evening reception.

The £745 dress, named Juliet, is by British fashion house Beulah, one of the Duchess's favourite designers.

She partnered the striking gown with some simple black strappy peep-toe sandals.

Earlier in the day she rocked a safari-style look as she trekked three hours to the holiest site in Bhutan, the Tiger's Nest monastery which stands 10,000ft up in the Himalayas.

She wore knee-high brown boots partnered with grey jeans, a white shirt and a khaki waistcoat.

The Duchess wore her hair down and a pair of sunglasses to complete the look.
