A man in his 20s has been stabbed to death outside a nightclub, Scotland Yard said.

Police officers were called to the incident outside the Domino Club in Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, south London, at 9pm on Friday.

The victim was taken to a south London hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, a police spokesman said.

No arrests have been made and the victim has not been formally identified. Police are awaiting confirmation that his family have been informed.

The spokesman said officers from Homicide and Serious Crime Command were investigating and that a post-mortem examination would be arranged.

The spokesman said police were keeping an open mind at this early stage on any motive.
