Man quizzed over death fire

A 32-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the deaths of two boys in a fire at a flat.

The youngsters were killed in the blaze at the flat above The Coffee Shop in Llanfaethlu, near Holyhead, North Wales, on Saturday morning.

A man escaped from the blaze and was found in the street outside with minor injuries, police said.

A spokesman for North Wales police said: "A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fire at a flat in Llanfaethlu near Holyhead, Anglesey.

"The coroner has been informed of the deaths of two young boys."

"We are not releasing any further information about this person's identity."

Emergency services were called to the flat at around 1.45am. The bodies of the boys were found inside.

Post mortems examinations were carried out and the results are expected later.

The identities of the two victims were not being released while relatives were contacted, police said.

A joint investigation by North Wales police and fire officers is ongoing.
