A man in Canada recently discovered an entire house mysteriously dumped on his land.

Patrick Maze was walking to work when he discovered the house on his property.

Posting a picture of the large property on Facebook, he asked:

“Has any of you ever found a house?”

In the post he said he had never experienced this particular situation before and so he was “reaching out for some guidance”.

He then proceeded to ponder as to how it ended up on his land.

“Perhaps someone stole it and took it for a joy ride”. He said.

He ruled out bold squatters as there was no one in the property.

Mr Maze then proposed that the rule of ‘finders keepers’ might apply in this case.

“If I put a basement under it would I be able to keep it?” He said.

The post was shared over 270 times and miraculously the owner of the missing house was found.

Brenda Robertson commented on the post: ‘That’s my house. There was a problem with the permits.

“‘They were 20 km from my place. Sask power stopped them and wouldn’t let them continue on.

“So I was told that they were going back to Winnipeg where it was built. ‘It’s quite a surprise to see my house on your land.”

It appears that the pair managed to work out the issue, as on Thursday she commented on a later post with a picture of her house on her own land.

She wrote “My house is finally home.”
