Prince William revealed his son, Prince George, was “far too spoilt” and received “too many presents” on his third birthday this week during a visit to America's Cup headquarters in Portsmouth.

When asked what presents George had got, William said: "I’m not telling, he got too many things.

"He is far too spoilt, he's not into boats yet."

The Duke of Cambridge and his wife spent the day by the water as they joined thousands of spectators to cheer on Sir Ben Ainslie's Land Rover BAR team on in the America's Cup World Series (ACWS).

The pupils were part of charity The 1851 Trust - of which Kate is the royal patron - aimed at getting children involved in the maritime industry.

Kate and William were then given a tour of the boat shed in the headquarters where they saw the team's test boats before boarding a small boat to go out to watch the six teams taking part in the second and final day of the racing.
