The record for the UK's biggest lottery win will be smashed this week if a single ticket holder scoops the estimated £113 million jackpot on EuroMillions.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "This jackpot could break all National Lottery records and hopefully a bit more British luck will see the champagne being popped.

"With £113 million to play with, you could share your wealth around all your friends and family, and still have plenty left to change your life beyond your wildest dreams."

In November Les Scadding, from Caerleon, near Newport, South Wales, scooped the UK's biggest ever individual lottery win, banking £45.5 million.

EuroMillions is the world's biggest multinational lottery game, with nine countries now playing - the UK, France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, Portugal and Switzerland.
