A record £89 million Lottery jackpot is up for grabs.
If the EuroMillions jackpot is scooped by a UK ticket it will be Britain's biggest lottery winner yet.
The record is currently held by postal administrator Angela Kelly, from Glasgow, who won £35.4 million on EuroMillions in August 2007.
The jackpot would also be the biggest lottery prize in the world. The current record of an estimated £81 million was won in Italy's Superenalotto in October last year.
A National Lottery spokesman said: "This is a massive life changing opportunity to grab a world champion's crown and a huge sum.
"It would be the biggest cheque we have ever written and we would love to be handing it out to a lucky Brit next week."
The EuroMillions jackpot was last won on Friday March 20 and has since rolled over five times.
According to The Times Rich List 2009, one British winner would immediately become the joint 644th richest person in the country. They would be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, George Michael and Jackie Collins, all worth £90 million.
Bankers Coutts & Co estimate a single winner would earn about £1,524 per day in interest, £10,668 a week and £556,250 per year based on an interest rate of 0.625%
EuroMillions tickets cost £1.50 and the draw show is screened on BBC1 at 11.35pm on Friday. The National Lottery spokesman said the chance of a ticket holder winning the jackpot was 76 million to one. The chance of winning any prize is one in 24.
