Security at a clothing sale was out in force to prevent a repeat of the crowd chaos which saw 10 police officers injured and three people arrested.
Scuffles broke out at the American Apparel "rummage" sale in Brick Lane, east London, when 2,000 shoppers arrived for the event.
Film footage posted on YouTube shows police officers wrestling on the ground with people, with lots of shouting and screaming among bystanders.
The company called in the police and stopped the sale, with less than 30 people making it to the tills.
But security was doubled and doors opened early to avoid a potential crush of excited bargain hunters.
American Apparel brand manager Jan Hubner said: "Everyone is happy today. The problem yesterday was that the line wasn't controlled from early in the morning.
"At 10am there was a burst of people coming to the front door. We couldn't control that. We knew it was going to be big but not this big.
"Today we started from 5am to make sure the line was under control. And we opened the doors at 8.30am although the official time was 10am.
"We've doubled the security and now have 30 people helping to control the lines."
