Teens want Olympic goodwill to last

Teenagers want more to be done to prolong the “festival feeling” created by the Olympics in London, a new report reveals.

Young people fear the sense of national pride created by the Games will be lost and want more events to be organised to recreate the atmosphere.

Legacy Trust UK found that the majority of young people felt that London 2012 touched their lives in some way.

But the report said: “There was a genuine fear that this sense of pride, will evaporate.”

The report also found that 70 per cent of young people were inspired by Paralympians.
