Two men have been arrested by police investigating the murder of 17-year-old Henry Bolombi.
Scotland Yard said the men were held after an armed raid at a home in St Marks Road, Enfield, north London.
Henry was stabbed in the chest on the street in Edmonton, north London, in the early hours of New Year's Day as he walked home from a celebration.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the men were being held in custody at a north London police station. A teenager arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
On Wednesday night, Henry's uncle, Masaya Bolombi, said the teenager was "killed in the prime of his life".
The attack took place after an argument in the street between two groups of youths. Police were called to Plevna Road, Edmonton, at around 6.30am on New Year's Day. Henry was pronounced dead at North Middlesex Hospital.
Mr Bolombi said: "Henry attended Salisbury School in Edmonton and was due to start at Southgate College to study English. He was part of a youth group and played football for Lea Valley Football Club.
"I want to take this opportunity to appeal for assistance from the public to find his killers.
"I am grieving for my 'son' and am very shocked by the violent nature of the crime and distraught that Henry was killed in the prime of his life."
Detectives believe Henry, of Wyldfield Gardens, Edmonton, got off the 279 night bus in Fore Street with nine black friends after celebrating the New Year in central London. Shortly after leaving the bus, they became involved in an altercation with four youths in the street.
