Two children have died in a house fire in a Welsh village.

The blaze broke out on Friday night at the home in the village of Llanfaethlu, on Anglesey, north Wales.

Two children died and an adult is being treated for injuries, North Wales Police said.

A man managed to escape from the fire with minor injuries, police said.

Police said they were not able to identify the victims or give their ages.

Post mortems were due to be carried out on the two bodies, a spokesman said.
