Detectives investigating the shooting of five-year-old Thusha Kamaleswaran have arrested two more young people, Scotland Yard said.

A 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were detained and taken into custody in connection with the March 29 incident.

The little girl and 35-year-old Roshan Selvakumar were shot inside the Stockwell Food and Wine store in south London.

Two young men have already been charged in the investigation.

Kazeem Kolawoli, 18, of Black Prince Road, Lambeth, and Anthony McCalla, 19, of Oakdale Road, Streatham, were each charged with two counts of attempted murder.

After appearing at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court in south east London they were remanded in custody for a hearing at the Old Bailey on June 10.

A 14-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been bailed to return in June while a 17-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the same offence has been bailed until later this month.

Thusha was hit in the chest and Mr Selvakumar received a head wound as two youths cowered in the shop after being chased by three others on bicycles through Stockwell.

The girl's mother, 12-year-old brother and three-year-old sister were also in the shop during the shooting but were unhurt.
