Zara Phillips and England rugby star Mike Tindall have staged their wedding rehearsal.
The Queen's granddaughter and her fiance arrived at Canongate Kirk - Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile church - for a final run-through of Friday's service.
The couple arrived in a chauffeur-driven Jaguar car and stepped out into bright summer sunshine.
A large group of well-wishers had gathered across the road and they gave a spontaneous cheer as the bride and groom headed through the gates.
They were both dressed casually in jeans with Zara wearing a grey and blue striped top and sunglasses, while Tindall had on a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
The couple turned to smile at the crowds before walking inside the church to begin the rehearsal.
They were joined by Zara's father, Captain Mark Phillips, and his second wife, Sandy Pflueger, and Zara's brother Peter Phillips.
The precinct of the church was a flurry of activity for much of the day with workmen entering and leaving the 17th century building.
Filming equipment was seen being taken into the kirk, suggesting the bride and groom are having a professional recording made of their nuptials.
There has also been a heavy police presence with officers in fluorescent jackets patrolling outside the church's gates. Other police have been on the steps, keeping a watchful eye on the dozens of cameramen, photographers and journalists camped opposite.
