The horror adaptation brings back a few familiar Hundred Acre Woods characters

The beloved characters from the famous children's book are brought to life while terrorising a group of young actors in the live-action horror film Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.

A few well-known characters from the Hundred Acre Woods briefly make an appearance, but only Minnie Mouse, Piglet, and Christopher Robin are the major players.

When is Winnie the Pooh Blood and HoneyUK being released?

The film is set to come to UK theatres on March 10, 2023.

The plot of Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey: what we know so far

The story follows Pooh and Piglet, who have now become feral and bloodthirsty killers, as they embark on a murderous rampage, terrorizing a group of young university women and an adult Christopher Robin after he returns to the Hundred Acre Wood five years later after leaving for college.

Craig David Dowsett plays Pooh Bear, whose only other acting credits are Sargent in The Area 51 Incident (2022) and Roger the Zombie Easter Bunny in The House That Zombies Built (2023).

Chris Cordell plays Piglet and Nikolai Leon plays Christopher Robin, whose only acting credit is Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s The Killing Tree.

Other cast members include Maria Taylor as Maria, Natasha Rose as Jess, Amber Doig-Thorne as Alice, Danielle Ronald as Zoe, Natasha Tosini as Lara.

Pooh and Piglet are on the loose in Hundred Acre Wood in the latest trailer, which can be seen above.

They are observed performing a variety of terrible crimes, including as attacking a woman in a jacuzzi, robbing a girl of her eye, and ... indulging in honey.

Waterfield told Variety that the movie was filmed in England's Ashdown Forest, which served as Milne's model for his fictional Hundred Acre Wood in the first Winnie the Pooh books, over the course of 10 days.
