A woman has denied a public order offence after she was accused of shouting "bang bang" at Pc David Rathband, who was blinded by gunman Raoul Moat.
Kelsey Donkin, 22, from Stamford Avenue, Sunderland, allegedly also made a two-fingered gun gesture when she saw the officer outside Newcastle Crown Court on March 2.
He was attending the trial of two of Moat's accomplices.
The shotgun maniac had blasted him twice in the face as he sat, unarmed, in his patrol car last July.
Donkin was understood to be at the Crown Court supporting a friend involved in another case.
At Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Thursday, she pleaded not guilty to a public order offence of causing Pc Rathband harassment or distress.
Her trial, where there will be four prosecution witnesses, will take place on June 27.
