The death of a woman whose body was found on a bridge in Oxfordshire is being treated as unexplained

A woman's body has been found on a canal bridge.

Detectives are treating the death of the woman, in her 60s, as unexplained.

A member of the public discovered the body on a canal bridge in Southam Road, Banbury, Oxfordshire, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police said.

She has not been formally identified, he added.

The area has been cordoned off while officers investigate the scene.
